Invaluable for family history research

The records of clubs, societies and sporting organisations can be invaluable for family history research as they invariably include subscribers’ lists, staff records, minutes detailing members &c.

Wexford County Archive actively seeks to acquire such records – some of its holdings to date include:

Miceál Kehoe collection

Predominantly a GAA collection comprising football and hurling souvenir programmes, match tickets, GAA photographs, match audios, the collection also includes local magazine titles (e.g. The Hawthorn; Link), newspaper clippings relating to the 1798 and 1916 periods, programmes for local theatre productions and local cultural events, religious booklets and journals.  Collected by Miceál Kehoe, former president of the GAA (1949-52).
