The county archive holds a significant volume of public and private collections. Generally, only those collections that have already been fully catalogued are available for research purposes. There is a significant backlog of collections to be processed so please be patient. While every effort will be made to facilitate researchers, access to certain materials may be restricted if items are deemed too fragile or are closed for a period due to sensitive content. Reproduction facilities are available but will depend on the quality and condition of the original materials. In an effort to enhance access, a number of collections have been microfilmed and are available only in this format. Similarly, some collections have been digitised – these can currently be accessed on CDs in the reading room but will be available online shortly.

Researchers are asked to sign a copyright form agreeing to abide by the reading room rules and to acknowledge Wexford County Archive where appropriate.
