Acquisition Policy

Wexford County Archive actively acquires collections of private origin in line with our Acquisition Policy. We would like to acknowledge the generosity and support of the many individuals and organisations that have donated or deposited collections in the county archive since its establishment. These collections are of social, cultural and historical importance to Co. Wexford and can now be preserved and made available for future generations.

Donate a document

To enhance our existing holdings, the archive particularly welcomes collections of estate papers, photographs, primary school records and old maps of Co. Wexford, in addition to the records of local businesses, organisations, clubs and societies. Anyone wishing to donate a document or a collection with us will be asked to sign a deposit agreement which will usually involve the full transfer of ownership, where possible, to Wexford County Archive. All items deposited in the county archive will be stored under the same secure and environmentally controlled conditions as the official records of Wexford Local Authorities.
